Overnight stay at Milsoms Kesgrave Hall

Me and my boyfriend recently had the pleasure of staying at Kegrave Hall to celebrate our 4 year anniversary. It was a real treat, and we had such a lovely relaxing time. We both enjoyed our overnight stay and would love to visit again for another special occasion.

The Location

Milsoms Kesgrave Hall is in Kesgrave, Suffolk, around 20 minutes from Ipswich. The drive is easy and Kesgrave Hall is super easy to find, sign posted well from the main road. As you turn into the grounds, you are taken down a long path which leads to the car park. The car park looks down on the hall and surrounding grounds, making for a lovely view as you arrive.

The Room

There are 5 tiers to the rooms available at Kesgrave Hall – Standard, Superior, Deluxe, Principal and Top. We stopped in a superior room, and enjoyed a super-king size bed, an en-suite bathroom with bath & shower, a desk, a large TV, a Dyson standing fan and a gorgeous view overlooking the lawns. The room also came complete with a mini fridge stocked with complimentary water and juices, and tea and coffee-making facilities with an array of teabags to try.

The Bathroom

The bathroom was the show stopper of the room for me. It had two sinks, his and hers, fluffy white towels and a large deep bath with overhead shower, which also had a rainforest type fixing in the centre of the ceiling above the bath. I was also extremely happy to see complimentary Aromatherapy Associates toiletries and took full advantage of these when having a long soak in the bath! The bath is such a great size and I had a great time relaxing in the hot deep water with lots of bubbles. I took along some of my favourite luxury products to also use whilst I was there. Decleor Micellar Oil is amazing at removing all traces of makeup after a long day. Elemis Frangipani Monoi Body Oil – just WOW. I love this product and only use it now and again as a real treat as I don’t want to ever use it all up! It comes in the glass bottle as a hard solid form, and you place the bottle in hot water to melt the oil. I love dropping a few splashes of this in a bath or using it afterwards to make my skin smell great and feeling soft. ESPA Pink Hair and Scalp Mud Mask is a recent buy of mine that I have wanted for ages. I absolutely love this, again as a real treat. You apply it to damp hair and scalp, leave for 20 minutes then rinse and shampoo as normal. It smells very spa like and leaves my hair feeling silky soft and smelling great. The glass tub is huge and looks very luxurious – a fancy looking item that looks great in the bathroom!

The Breakfast

We were lucky with the weather on our stay, and enjoyed breakfast outside on the patio in the morning. Breakfast consisted of a menu where we could choose something to order, as well as being able to help ourselves to continental options from inside the dining area. I had a wonderful breakfast of poached eggs and mushrooms with a truffle hollandaise on a toasted muffin. WOW – it tasted sensational! Eating breakfast outside on the patio in the gorgeous sunshine was a lovely experience.

We really enjoyed our stay at Kesgrave Hall and would not hesitate to recommend it to others. I can’t wait to go again in the future for another special occasion.
