Elemis Nourishing Omega-Rich Cleansing Oil Review

I got this cleansing oil free when I recently purchased a bottle of Elemis Frangipani Oil. It is a really great size for a free sample, and I have been using it a lot since it arrived. As much as I love and adore my Liz Earle favourites, I cannot resist trying out new things, and since having a Clarins facial I have been drawn to high end luxurious facial products, especially cleansing balms and oils.

The Elemis Nourishing Omega-Rich Cleansing Oil is a skin conditioning oil that cleanses, soothes and softens. To dispense the oil, you squeeze the bottle to skirt it out, and this is enough to cleanse my whole face once. I have been rubbing the oil between my palms for around 10 seconds, which really warms the oil up, before massaging it into my dry face and neck in circular motions. The scent is so wonderful, and combined with the warmth, it makes for such a calming and relaxing ritual, especially before bedtime.

After I am done with massaging the oil into my dry face, I wet my hands and massage the oil in some more – the water turns the oil into a milky residue, which I then remove with a damp warm sponge. That is my first cleanse done and it does an excellent job at removing the majority of my makeup. (I am double cleansing at the moment as I am often wearing heavy makeup.)

My skin instantly feels clearer and refreshed, and it has definitely been helping calm my redness. I always worry about trying new products as I suffer with redness and sensitivity at odd times throughout the month, and I don’t want to make this worse, but this oil does nothing to aggravate the problem.

I have been using this most evenings and mornings since it arrived, and I have around half of the bottle left. I will 100% be re-buying this when I run out. It is around £30 for a full size, but you do get a very generous 200ml, so it will last a while.
